Coast 91²Ö¿â Management Association Conference 2016: The Social Life of 91²Ö¿â

This annual conference and its theme, âThe Social Life of 91²Ö¿ââ, will bring together waste and recycling professionals to network and explore leading edge topics that affect the waste management and recycling sector today. Â Starting the conference this year are two renowned sustainability experts. Dr. Jennie Moore is an Associate Dean of Building Design and Construction Technology programs at the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Jennie currently serves as a core advisor to the International Ecocity Framework and Standards, an exciting international initiative aimed at developing performance metrics to bring cities in balance with nature. J.D. Lindeberg, President of Resource Recycling Systems, a Michigan-based firm that specializes in sustainable resource strategies and waste recovery solutions, worked on the Roadmap to Reduce U.S. Food 91²Ö¿â report and has firsthand knowledge on mixed waste processing or âdirty MRFâ facilities and how they fit into the recycling landscape of today.
Building on our successes from past conferences, the planning committee is hard at work developing a full program with topics and presenters covering a broad range of subjects. Some of the potential topics include; Managing 91²Ö¿â After a Natural Disaster, Industry Safety, Remote Community initiatives, Abandoned vessels, Ocean 91²Ö¿â & Pollution in the Marine Environment, and Funding 91²Ö¿â & Recycling Systems.
