ICE Recycling, LLC

ICE Recycling LLC., a Leigh Fibers Company, recently invested over one million dollars in a new custom baling system, along with electrical supply upgrades at its Lake City facility. The baling system was manufactured by the International Baler Co. of Jacksonville FL and was supplied and installed by Recycling Equipment Inc. (REI) of Newton, NC.  This custom installation was specifically designed for ICE to bale core tubes, along with conventional recyclables to increase their present capacity. The baler is a hybrid designed with a modified charge box that increases the density of the bales produced from the standard 1,250-pound bales to more than 1,400 pounds per bale. This customization allows for an additional 8,000 pounds of material to ship in an export container.

Industrial Conservation Engineering ‘ICE’ Recycling was founded in 2008 and became one of the Leigh Fibers family of companies in 2014. ICE Recycling is a strong strategic complement to Leigh Fiber’s traditional business as they share a common commitment to the environment and supply chain partnerships. ICE Recycling reprocesses post-industrial polymers, cardboard, paper and metals for companies throughout the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic. The company provides both on-site waste-stream management as well as off-site reprocessing services. Don Bockoven, President of ICE and Leigh Fibers stated, “This capital investment provides increased efficiency and production capacity at our Lake City location.  ICE Recycling remains committed to providing cutting edge total recycling solutions to our clients and customers as well continuing to grow and strengthen our position in the market.â€
