The City of Rockwall will roll out significant changes to its garbage, recycling, brush and bulk collection services beginning in January, a move that has sparked frustration among many residents concerned about reduced service levels.

City officials say the updates – provided through Republic Services – are intended to standardize collection and improve efficiency. Residents are encouraged to visit the city’s website for detailed information, updated maps and answers to frequently asked questions.

One of the most notable changes affects bulk and brush collection. Starting Jan. 1, the city will limit bulk and brush pickups to six cubic yards per collection.
