Sanborn Head & Associates, based in Concord, NH, Burlington and Randolph VT and Westford and Boston, MA, announces the formalization of a partnership with OvrSyte Inc., of Ottawa Canada, to promote an industry-first holistic IoT intelligent landfill management offering. Over the past five years, OvrSyte has developed a solution to connect all devices and machines on a site, from flow meters, flares and pump stations, to waste water, leachate treatment and power plants. This wealth of data has real-time access, but is also tied with analytics, cumulative trending and reporting.

According to Karlis Vasarais, OvrSyte’s president, “Tying OvrSyte’s IoT platform into Sanborn Head’s LFGMS wellfield management tool is a no-brainer. Together we have created a holistic service that records and manages performance data from wellfield, all site equipment and plant operations, while preloading custom reports for operations, finance, third-parties and regulatory bodies. Ultimately, everything about a client’s portfolio of landfill gas project operations will be accumulated and tracked in one location to view anytime, analyze and summarize.”

Both Sanborn Head and OvrSyte have been focused independently to help their combined active client base of over 150 landfills and landfill gas-to-energy projects to tackle these issues, thus both believe it was a natural progression to combine efforts and resources to offer their clients the opportunity to be more productive while saving money. “This new partnership strengthens Sanborn Head’s position as a forward-thinking engineering consulting firm in the solid waste market,” said David Adams, Principal with Sanborn Head. “It’s the evolution of consulting services; increase value to our clients while also reducing costs. I’ve seen OvrSyte’s IoT platform and the operational and time-saving improvements that are achievable. We want to be able to bring this opportunity to our clients.”

As their first combined offering, Sanborn Head and OvrSyte have launched an innovative ‘automated gas combustion report’ which is designed to significantly reduce the time and costs associated with landfill gas power plants EPA compliance reporting on gas destruction.
