The Town of Carrboro, NC has selected Tampa, FL-based Kessler Consulting to conduct a Residential Solid 91²Ö¿â Study.
The Town of Carrboro, NC, with their long-standing commitment to sustainability and a future goal of Zero 91²Ö¿â, has enlisted Kessler Consulting to help on that path by performing a comprehensive Residential Solid 91²Ö¿â Study.
Carrboro is home to a diverse demographic composition and has big plans for its future, especially when it comes to being an environmental steward. Carrboro has active and involved residents, including a sizable undergraduate and graduate student population, and as part of the Study, Kessler Consulting will be engaging these groups through public participation. Residents of Carrboro will have the opportunity to be involved in the process by sharing their thoughts, ideas, perceptions, recycling habits, and feelings about their current services through surveys, public forums or focus groups.
As part of the Study, KCI will conduct a waste composition study, a collection route study, as well as a residential organics collection feasibility study that includes development of a plan for a source separated residential pilot program. Organics recovery is the future of sustainability and KCI plans to help Carrboro achieve its higher solid waste diversion goals.
