Keep Tennessee Beautiful will host a Bill Dance Signature Lake Beautification and Conservation event on November 7 at the Hatchie River. Volunteers are asked to meet at Hwy. 70 Boat Access, Stanton, TN. KTnB is the official beautification and conservation partner for the Bill Dance Signature Lakes. The event is part of Tennessee’s “No Trash November” campaign and a Keep Tennessee Waterways Beautiful Community Event.
In addition to KTnB’s participation, other sponsors include Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, Tennessee Department of Tourist Development, Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation, Blue Oval Ford Community Relations, Bass Pro Shops, and First Bank. “One of the key pillars of the state of Tennessee’s Bill Dance Signature Lakes initiative focuses on conservation and natural resource stewardship,” Dennis Tumlin, chief customer officer, Tennessee Department of Tourist Development, said. “We kicked-off our stewardship efforts at Herb Parson’s Lake, which is near and dear to Bill Dance. Now we’re moving on to the Hatchie River cleanup. We’re thankful for our partnership with Keep Tennessee Beautiful as we work to educate the next generation about our corporate responsibility and stewardship goals.”
“It is an honor to work with one of our state’s most beloved sportsmen in these signature lakes beautification projects,” Executive Director Missy Marshal, Keep Tennessee Beautiful, said. “Bill Dance knows the value of environmental stewardship, especially on our waterways. His passion for clean lakes is one of his hallmarks.” Additional events will be organized across Tennessee in the coming months and years as part of this legacy-honoring project.
