WM is seeking an Area Civil Engineer to support our landfill operations in a hybrid role that combines fieldwork with office-based responsibilities. This position must live locally and will work regularly in the field at our landfill sites. Approximately 25% of the role focuses on design and project management, with an emphasis on being effective, efficient, and results driven. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can translate complex technical concepts into clear, understandable language for non-technical audiences, including regulators and the general public. This role will manage and coordinate consultants, support permitting efforts, and apply a working knowledge of waste permitting and civil engineering principles. Relocation assistance provided
