NEWMOA also welcomes Kelly Owens as a new member of NEWMOA’s Board of Directors. Kelly brings more than 33 years of experience working at the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM), where she has focused her career on site cleanup, brownfields, and land revitalization. While she will be delegating some committee responsibilities in the coming months, she remains closely engaged in NEWMOA’s work—particularly the upcoming Brownfields Summit in Newport, Rhode Island, and training opportunities that support her staff. Kelly holds a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from the University of Rhode Island. She joined RIDEM in 1992 and has spent her entire career in the Site Remediation and Brownfields programs. NEWMOA is thrilled to have Kelly’s depth of experience, institutional knowledge, and long‑standing connection to the Board.
