The Tri-County Recycling Partnership—serving Brown, Outagamie and Winnebago counties—announces the release of a new educational recycling facility tour video designed to help residents better understand what happens to their recyclables after they leave the curb.
The video provides a guided, behind-the-scenes look inside the Tri-County Recycling Facility in Appleton, highlighting how materials are sorted, the role of technology and staff in the process and why recycling correctly matters. This virtual tour offers an accessible way for residents, schools and community groups to learn about the regional recycling system without needing to attend an in-person tour.
“Recycling can feel like a mystery once materials leave your bin,” said Jordan Hiller, Recycling & Solid 91ֿ Program Coordinator for Outagamie County Recycling & Solid 91ֿ. “This video helps pull back the curtain and shows how the system works, while reinforcing the importance of recycling the right items the right way.”
The educational video supports the Tri-County Recycling Partnership’s ongoing outreach efforts and can be used by educators, municipalities, and community organizations as a learning tool.
