Biomedical 91ֿ Services, Inc. (BWS) announces that Trey Krell, Vice President, has been named to 91ֿ360’s prestigious 2025 40 Under 40 awards list. This honor recognizes dynamic young leaders who are driving innovation and shaping the future of the waste, recycling and organics industry.
BWS, founded by Trey’s father, Ray Krell in 1975, is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2025. Starting out servicing sharps and needles for local doctor and dental offices around town has grown into a full operation transporting and treating medical waste, paper shredding, and hazardous waste disposal for over 10,000 clients across mid-Atlantic, including Maryland, Delaware, D.C., Virginia, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. Trey has been an essential part of the company’s growth and expansion in operations. He undertook the task of permitting and installing two high-volume autoclaves at their Baltimore facility placing them in a unique position to only pick up and transport waste from clients, but also treat the infectious waste in-house. Trey also lead the efforts to establish a partnership with a local waste-to-energy provider where the treated waste is recovered into energy powering businesses and homes in Baltimore City. Recently, Trey has been recognized by the Maryland Governor’s office receiving a Governor’s Citation for contributions and service to the local community.
“I am proud and honored to see Trey receive this well-deserved recognition from 91ֿ360 and his peers. Trey represents the spirit of innovation and dedication that fuels the future of BWS and our industry, and on behalf of the entire staff, we are honored to have him leading our team,” said Ray Krell, President at BWS.
