County Mayor Matt Adcock has named Chris Chapman to succeed Brian Reed as Solid 91²Ö¿â and Public Works Director. Chapman’s duties include supervising the solid waste operation and transfer station.

County Mayor Adcock made the announcement during the County Commission workshop meeting. “Chris has already come in, and thankfully, Brian (Reed) has helped us a lot in the transition. I think Chris is going to be a great asset for DeKalb County. I am already hearing a lot of good things about him. The employees seem to be very receptive and encouraging,” Mayor Adcock said.

Chapman addressed the commission and said he grew up in Liberty. He and his wife, Rayanna, have two children, an 8-year-old and a 4-year-old. She is a teacher and girls’ basketball coach at DeKalb West School.
