Washington Department of Ecology (Ecology)聽has聽announced聽Circular Action Alliance (CAA)聽as the Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO)聽to lead the implementation of the聽Recycling Reform Act, the state鈥檚 Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR)聽law for聽residential聽paper聽and聽product聽packaging.
As the designated PRO,聽CAA will work closely with聽Ecology, producers聽and other聽interest holders聽to聽expand聽recycling聽access for Washington residents and invest in a聽more effective and efficient system聽in the state.

With聽the addition of聽Washington,聽CAA now serves as the approved PRO in six states:聽California, Colorado, Maryland, Minnesota, Oregon聽and Washington. This growing footprint reflects CAA鈥檚 expertise in launching and managing producer responsibility programs across diverse regulatory and operational environments.
CAA will support producers in fulfilling requirements under Washington鈥檚 EPR law, including reporting, fee administration and compliance with established recycling and reuse targets.
