The New York City Department of Sanitation聽(DSNY) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) for pre-processing equipment designed to remove contamination from commingled organic material waste streams as part of the Staten Island Compost Facility (SICF) Pre-Processing & Site Upgrade Project. The RFI seeks input from equipment manufacturers and technology providers to inform future design and procurement of systems that separate non-organic contaminants prior to composting.
