Recycle Florida Today recently recognized two recipients with 2025 Environmental Sustainability awards for Outstanding Public and Private programs during its annual meeting in the City of Daytona Beach, Florida. The award winners are:
Seminole County, the recipient of the Outstanding Public Program of the Year increased recyclable materials through Seminole County’s program by 46 percent. The County said that over three years an additional 6,068 pounds of material was collected for recycling. How did they increase recycling collection?
鈥淲ith a goal of reviving and modernizing the county鈥檚 recycling program, reducing contamination and boosting awareness, a team consisting of the Seminole County Office of Communications and Environmental Services Department implemented a series of special events, community outreach and media efforts that turned trash into triumph,鈥� Adeemir Dacenay聽Recycle Program Coordinator, Seminole County.
Coastal 91仓库 & Recycling received the Outstanding Private Program of the Year award. Through a series of community events, including cleanups along coastlines, intergenerational recycling education initiatives and launching a manager in training program to promote the next generation of industry leaders, Coastal is focused on a commitment to the communities they serve.

The Recycle Florida Today Environmental Sustainability Awards are an annual awards program recognizing excellence in recycling initiatives in Florida. The programs recognized displayed an increased awareness of the importance of sustainability as well as the ability to motivate others to maximize their recycling, composting, grass-roots efforts, waste reduction, sustainability efforts and improving their recycling rates through education, outreach and by example.
