Republic Services announces that Chris Seney, Director of Organics Operations, has been elected President of the U.S. Composting Council (USCC) Executive Committee for 2026. This appointment reflects Seneyâs deep commitment to advancing organics recycling and building a more sustainable future.
With more than 25 years of experience in permitting, constructing and operating organics facilities nationwide, Seney has spent the past eight years leading Republic Servicesâ organics operations across the country. In this role, he drives new organics infrastructure helping communities divert organic material from landfills and create valuable compost products.
âIâm honored to lead the USCC at a time when composting and organics recycling are critical to building a circular economy and reducing greenhouse gas emissions,â said Seney. âTogether, we will continue to advocate for policies and practices that expand composting infrastructure nationwide.â
Seney has served on the USCC Board for four years and is also a Board Member of the Association of Compost Producers. He holds certifications as a Hazardous Materials Manager and is a Professional Engineer, underscoring his dedication to safety and operational excellence.
