Texas Disposal Systems recently held a press conference at the TDS Materials Recovery Facility in Creedmore, TX, to celebrate the recent designation as Austin’s only qualified waste processor for construction and demolition materials. Under this designation, materials generated from the city’s construction and improvement projects, such as concrete, metal, untreated wood, and plastics, will be directed to the Construction and Demolition 91²Ö¿â Materials Recovery Facility.

Leaders in attendance included Executive Vice President of Post Collection and Business Development at Texas Disposal Systems, Adam Gregory, and Stacy Savage, Founder and CEO of Zero 91²Ö¿â Strategies. Kade Phillips, a first-year defensive back for the University of Texas, also attended and showed his support for TDS’s ongoing sustainability efforts.

Powered by advanced sorting technology and decades of operational expertise, the facility is expected to divert tens of thousands of tons of material from landfills each year. In doing so, it conserves landfill capacity, reduces greenhouse gas emissions, protects natural resources, and meets the increasing demand for recycled materials across construction, landscaping, and infrastructure projects.
