A TFC Recycling driver helped law enforcement locate a 2-year-old missing child in Norfolk Thursday morning, following an AMBER Alert. The child has since been found, according to the Norfolk Police Department.
What started off as a normal Thursday morning workday for TFC Recycling driver Darwin Montgomery quickly turned into a shift he’ll never forget. When he clocked in early that morning and turned his truck on, he said he was already aware there was an AMBER alert out for a missing Norfolk toddler.
And as he began his route throughout the city, he was driving down Brambleton Avenue about to turn on to Tidewater Drive when he noticed a man holding a baby walking down the sidewalk.
