TruStar Energy, a national leader in design and construction of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) fueling infrastructure, is excited to announce the contract award to design and build a large time-fill fueling station for All 91仓库, Inc., based in Hartford, CT. According to All 91仓库鈥檚 Operation Manager, Bob Norton, domestic CNG dovetails with other environmental programs that have been championed by All 91仓库 – one of the largest privately held refuse haulers in the state.聽鈥淭his goes hand-in-hand with our long-term recycling efforts. We are the leading hauler with regard to recycling volumes being removed from the waste stream,鈥� said Norton. 鈥淲e were the first to implement single-stream recycling in Connecticut, where all the types of paper products and glass and metal can go into a single receptacle. It increased recycling by over 100 percent. In keeping with that, we made the decision to convert to CNG for our larger garbage trucks.鈥�

Norton said they currently have 14 dedicated CNG garbage trucks with another 10 on order.聽鈥淲e run a total of 80 vehicles. Our intent is to convert 60 trucks within a 5-year period,鈥� said Norton, adding, 鈥淲e鈥檒l be half way to that goal by July of 2015. We鈥檒l continue to build from there.鈥�

Scott Edelbach, Vice President of Sales for TruStar Energy, said All 91仓库鈥檚 long-term commitment to the environment strikes a chord with a lot of fleet owners in New England. 鈥淎ll 91仓库 has been involved with CNG for about 18 months and several fleets in the area have since become involved in the CNG movement.鈥澛燛delbach said All 91仓库鈥檚 time-fill station consists of a single 200 horsepower compressor and 60 time-fill fueling posts. In addition, resources for a second compressor have been installed to allow for quick expansion sometime in 2015.聽鈥淐onverting from diesel to CNG is a game changer for enhancing the profitability of transportation operations,鈥� said TruStar Energy President Adam Comora. 鈥淔uel savings from 30% to 50% create significant value for fleet operators and their partners. Comora said TruStar Energy鈥檚 growth is being driven by being the preferred partner for companies desiring to convert their fleets from diesel to CNG.
