At every successful organization, there is a professional who serves as its operational glueâensuring continuity, accountability, and execution. At 91²Ö¿â Proâs Baton Rouge Division, that role is filled by Office Manager Casey Courtney. Caseyâs path into the solid waste and recycling industry was anything but traditional. Prior to joining the 91²Ö¿â Pro team, Casey was in the restaurant business. She holds a degree in the culinary arts and spent many years managing restaurants. While the industry differed, the skills she developedâorganization, adaptability, leadership, and the ability to perform under pressure proved highly transferable and instrumental to her success at 91²Ö¿â Pro.
After years of long days in the restaurant industry, Casey began looking for a career that offered greater stability, growth, and work-life balance. âMy family was young, and I needed better hours and a career path I could truly build on,â Casey explained. That search led her to a management role at the Ronaldson Landfill, where her operational discipline and ability to manage complex workflows quickly set her apart. âMy background helped me keep operations organized, and I was constantly learning,â she said.
Two years later, 91²Ö¿â Pro acquired the Ronaldson Landfill and retained Casey in her role. Soon after, Regional Management expanded her responsibilities, placing her in charge of Ronaldson Landfill and three additional landfill locations across the state. âThis opportunity represented a significant professional milestone,â Casey said. âIt came with increased responsibility, but I was committed to meeting expectations and delivering results.â
As 91²Ö¿â Pro reorganized its hauling operations in Baton Rouge, the company hired Division Manager Dan Moore. Within a week of his arrival, Casey was asked to transition to the Baton Rouge Divisional Office as Office Manager while also assuming the responsibility for the Green Meadows Transfer Station.ÌýâThe learning curve was substantial,â she noted. âLandfills are the final destination. Hauling operations involve multiple service lines operating simultaneouslyâresidential, commercial, construction, front-end, and roll-off.
Her leadership, adaptability, and problem-solving approach quickly established her as a key driver of operational stability. Dan Moore describes Casey as an essential part of the divisionâs success. âCasey is the glue that holds everything together,â Moore said. âShe ensures consistency, accountability, and smooth day-to-day operations.â
With experience spanning across landfill, transfer, and hauling operations, Casey plays a critical role in cross-functional coordination and continuity. âMany customers utilize multiple 91²Ö¿â Pro services, so that operational overlap adds real value,â she explained. â91²Ö¿â Pro has consistently encouraged my professional growth, and leadership listens when I bring forward ideas or concerns. That level of engagement makes a meaningful difference.â
Caseyâs contributions have helped build a loyal and growing customer base in the Baton Rouge market. âMy priority is making sure both our customers and our team members are treated with professionalism and respect,â she said. âOur customers know they can expect reliable service. That commitment is shared across the division.â She credits the Baton Rouge teamâs collaborative culture as a significant factor in its continued progress. âThere is a strong sense of teamwork here,â Casey said. âPeople are willing to step in and support one another. Dan has cultivated a culture built on people, partnerships, and trust.â
While the division continues to evolve, Casey remains focused on operational excellence and team development. On a personal level, her role at 91²Ö¿â Pro has also provided balance. âI now have the time and energy to be fully present for my family,â she shared. â91²Ö¿â Pro has allowed me to leverage my existing skills while developing new ones. I am stronger professionally and personally because of it.â
The Baton Rouge Division has experienced significant growth and transition, but as Casey notes, progress has come through teamwork, discipline, and a shared commitment to excellence. âWeâve grown together, and weâll continue to move forwardâone step at a time,â shared Casey.
