Coral Springs will enter into an agreement with Broward County to work together on trash removal and recycling. During the June 17 meeting, the commission agreed to approve and adopt the Interlocal Agreement for Solid 91²Ö¿â Disposal and Recyclable Materials Processing Authority of Broward County.
Coral Springs residents will see almost no change in their trash and recycling removal except for about a $3 yearly increase for the service. Coastal 91²Ö¿â & Recycling provides the service now and will continue to do so, according to city information.
âThis is a positive thing for waste management. In the long term, this is good because we could end up paying a lot more when the landfills reach capacity,â said Commissioner Joe McHugh.
